Blog Project Week 7: Teapot
I have a little tray in my bedroom, that on mornings where I do not have to rush anyplace I have morning tea and breakfast in my room. There is a black and white plate, a vintage looking teaspoon, a black and white mug that says "London" with a little coaster, and my black and white teapot.
Sensing a theme? My bedroom is accented in black and white, which I've carried over to my morning tea ritual as well.
I cherish those mornings, not because I'm a tea connoisseur or because I can't get my day started without a jolt of caffeine (90% of the time I have some kind of herbal tea with no caffeine). I cherish those mornings because they're simple, and quiet. They give me time to process what they day has ahead of me, or how things have been going lately. It almost becomes a time to meditate and focus on me.
It also makes me feel my Irish roots, but that's just a silly coincidence -- not a reason.
And I love my little black and white, two cup serving tea pot. Plus I love those Keep Calm boards too so it's a bonus! The Keep Calm message never goes unnoticed when I have my tea, and is part of my relaxation. It reminds me that there is no point in rushing through my tea and breakfast, but to savor and enjoy the moment.
